I began writing New Every Morning as a place to share creative ideas and projects...and from there, it became a place to share life, recipes, inspiration, and our homeschool journey with family and friends (both old and new).
I love rainy afternoons, Earl Grey tea, reading to our children, baking, autumn, movie nights, Pinterest, classic literature, date nights, sweater weather, dining al fresco, the Appalachian Mountains, blogging, roaring fires, BBC period dramas, Thai food, and reading on the beach. I like to knit (and need to learn how to make more than just scarves.) I love anything crafty...especially scrapbooking...but my sewing skills are so very limited.
For every almost-perfect family picture, there are dozens of "outtakes." Though I claim Mondays as laundry day, in reality, there is usually a load (or two) still waiting to be put away on Tuesday or Wednesday. I love to be creative in the kitchen, but there are days when I just need to order take-out. Each night I look forward to happily jumping out of bed by 6 am; truthfully? My bed is most comfortable in the morning after the snooze button is pushed or after I've put my pajamas back on after showering. :)
I love the Lord with all my heart, but each day, I am more aware of how much I fall short and more thankful for His grace and patience and perfect love. So thankful that His mercies are new every morning.
I desire for this blog to be a cheerful, encouraging, and inspiring place...but also a real and honest one.
So that's a little bit about me...I'd love to get to know you!
I am so glad you're here. I hope you'll visit often and find yourself at home.
