Day 5: Summer View

There are hardly words for this view.  A grassy knoll with 360 degrees of North Carolina (and Tennessee) mountains views.

We hiked up Max Patch with my parents today...and I hope that we will get the chance to do so again.  It's not a difficult hike, but the view from the top is breathtaking.  I may have sung a few bars from "The Hills are Alive..."

The girls (with help) made clover crowns. Hadleigh ran all over the mountain, exploring the paths in the long grass with her Daddy.

Nathanael (after downing two water bottles and asking for another) also went adventuring, trying to catch up with Hadleigh & Brent.

Madeleine (who looked like a 70s era Heidi in her "hiking gear") was content to eat strawberries and cherries and sit on the picnic blanket. :)

There is something about a beautiful view...and watching your children be a part of it.

What's your favorite view?
